The feature nobody missed
A control reassured its makers more than it served its users.
These responses improve S2W’s visual language across this project and approved S2W API surfaces. No visual is replaced or published automatically.
The tension
A product team kept one rarely used control because removing it made the product feel less complete to the team.
The test
The control was hidden from a small test group while support queries and task completion were observed.
The surprise
Nobody asked where it went.
The real problem
The feature had been reassuring the makers, not serving the users.
The question
What is your product carrying only because removing it would make the team anxious?
