Optimism is a tool, not a forecast
Hope can change what you attempt without pretending to know what will happen.

These responses improve S2W’s visual language across this project and approved S2W API surfaces. No visual is replaced or published automatically.
A forecast is a claim about what is likely to happen.
Optimism is a stance toward what is worth attempting.
Confusing the two turns hope into prediction.
Refusing both turns uncertainty into paralysis.
A useful optimism does not say ‘this will work’. It says: not knowing is not yet a reason to stop.
What would you attempt if optimism did not require certainty?
Margin note
Agency is not the same thing as prediction.
